new beginnings

Oh, what a year. A year of growth and a year of change. Moving away to school and finding myself and my passions. I’m finally continuing my blog and shifting my priorities with it – no longer focusing on having an abundance of material things; cheap trendy clothes that I’ll wear once then be tired of. Instead, I plan to highlight special pieces I’ve found, along with the art and nature all around me. To write about music, of places and people. A little journal, per se, of my future experiences and my present thoughts. I’m so excited to carry this on into the new year and shape my website to project the person that I’ve become. Here are some photos that captured some of the moments of the last few months:

Also, check out my depop for some rad clothes I’m selling! I’ll be adding a bunch more while I’m home for Christmas break!

Much love, thanks for stickin around ❤

I have some cute looks for you that I’ve been wearing a lot lately! Now keep in mind that California weather is super weird, especially in the fall and winter. It goes from freezing cold to feeling like summer in a matter of a day… So the key is layers, layers, and more layers! I made a YouTube video featuring a couple of these outfits, I’d love if you checked it out 🙂

thank you

Today is a day to be grateful and appreciate the people who surround you and the things that you are blessed with. I am thankful for my family and my friends, who are always there to encourage me and give me a good laugh. I think that the most important thing in life is love and happiness, so surround yourself with people that do just that, make you happy. All of the material things and your success don’t outweigh the feeling of happiness. I am thankful for all of the opportunities we are given as Americans, we take so many things for granted, but I want to take a moment to really appreciate our freedom and the land that we live in. I also want to express how grateful I am to those that don’t celebrate this holiday; it makes me ecstatic that people from all around the world read what I write and the chance that maybe I inspired someone.

Thank you so much for supporting me, I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

august fashion favorites

These are some of my favorite clothing items that I’ve been constantly wearing recently. Some of these pieces are from past posts and others will be featured soon, but they’re some of my favorites from the month of August! Plus, most are relatively inexpensive and can transition from the warmer summer months to the cooler months of fall.

Boyfriend Jeans – American Eagle

Boyfriend jeans are a staple piece that provides a super cute but super laid back look. If you want, you can even DIY a pair of your own!

Scarf – Forever 21

I love this scarf. It’s fun and colorful which is perfect for the still warm weather of California, but will also be great when it starts getting colder!

Black High-Waisted Jeans – Forever 21

I am so glad that I stumbled upon these jeans at Forever 21, every other pair I’ve seen are so expensive, so these were a great buy! Black jeans are so versatile, you can dress them up or down; wear them with sandals or with boots. A MUST HAVE.

Top – Forever 21

Not just this shirt specifically, but I’ve been loving printed shirts that have billowy sleeves like this; definitely one of my favorite styles

Strappy Sandals – Random shoe store

I’ve been wearing these sandals non stop, they go with everything and I’m going to be heartbroken when I have to put them away for the winter. They’re featured in a ton of my posts, which shows how much I love them.

Bralette – Urban Outfitters

My favorite thing since probably May have been bralettes. They look so cute under things and add more detail to any outfit, I’ve been living in them lately!

Dress – Tj Maxx

Can we please take a moment to appreciate these types of dresses. This style is adorable on everyone, and so comfortable and effortless yet you still look like you put in tons of thought! A must have while it’s still warm outside.

thanks for the memories

Sunday night was the best night in a while. I saw New Politics, Paramore, and Fallout Boy in concert! My best friend and I had tickets  tickets for the pit and it was amazing to be so close to the bands. AT ONE POINT WE WERE THREE FEET AWAY FROM PETE WENTZ FROM FALLOUT BOY!!!!! Such a great night with great music! Since it was an outside concert, I wanted to wear something comfy and simple, and of course I had to add this amazing necklace!

heading back to school

I’m finally posting again on here, I’m sorry that its been so long! But with school starting up again for most people – mine already has 😦 I decided to put together some back to school outfits for you! I love wearing cute outfits for school but I also love comfort and simplicity, so I have some easy looks that I hope you can get inspiration from (:

Necklace – Aeropostale
Boyfriend Jeans – American Eagle White V-neck – Probably Target

Boyfriend jeans are life. They’re oh so comfortable and a staple item for the back to school season! Pair ’em with a plain shirt and accessorize away!

Top – Forever 21 Shorts – American Eagle
Sandals – Mariella
Top – Tj Maxx Shorts – American Eagle

I’ve been obsessed with tops like this! I love the long wide sleeves and interesting patterns; throw a top like this on with a simple pair of shorts or jeans and head out the door. And of course you’ve gotta have a pair of strappy sandals!

Pants – American Eagle
White V-Neck – Nordstrom

I’m so in love with long, billowy pants like these! They’re super cute but basically feel like pajamas. And you can never go wrong with a white v-neck 🙂
